The next General Meeting will be held on Thursday 25th January at 09:30am at the Costin Hall, Lantzville.
Our speaker will be Philippe Lucas, PhD – VP, Patient Research & Access from Tilray, Nanaimo. His talk will cover research into the medical uses of Cannabis. Cannabis is the most widely used illicit substance in the world, and research has identified a number of therapeutic applications for this plant, ranging from chronic pain, to cancer, to mental health.
His presentation will provide:
- a brief history of medical cannabis in Canada
- an overview of current research on pediatric epilepsy, PTSD, COPD, Cancer, etc.
- and a look forward at the potential public health impacts of legal adult access to cannabis.
